1 - Born Again
El contenido de la fe, para escuchar,
First of six in the series 'The Normal Christian Birth' "So often, spiritual disease can be traced back to an inadequate initiation into the Kingdom. A better birth means greater growth in a healthy Christian life. David Pawson discusses some crucial and controversial biblical texts, challenging many traditional interpretations. He questions the adequacy of the typical ''sinners prayer'' approach and gives practical tips on helping potential disciples to repent, believe, be baptised and receive the Holy Spirit." http://davidpawson.org/resources/series/the-normal-christian-birth This is free to download at the above address. This man is either decieved or a false prophet, turn to Steven Anderson's preaching on youtube to get the truth expounded if you are too lazy to read your own bible, stay away from modern versions, stick to the KJV. And remember that Jesus said "He that believeth on me HATH everlasting life" That's a present tense:hath. Salvation is by grace through faith, not of works lest any man should boast. Do NOT trust in your ability to repent of your sin or in your will to change to be saved, JESUS IN MATTHEW 7 SAID MANY PEOPLE WOULD BE SAYING TO HIM THAT THEY DID WORKS!!! AND JESUS SAID HE NEVER KNEW THEM, NEVER!! But Jesus said he that cometh to me I will IN NO WISE cast out. So if you are born again, you are safe, don't worry about a thing, because you are in Jesus Christ's hand and you are in the father's hand and no man is going to pluck you out of that hand. THE BIBLE SAYS TO HIM THAT WORKETH NOT!!! TO HIM THAT WORKETH NOT BUT BELIEVETH, HIS FAITH IS COUNTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS!! Romans 10:9 If thou shalt confess with thy mouth and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. PERIOD, THOU SHALT BE SAVED IF X Y AND Z!!! OKAY!? DONT LET FALSE PROPHETS LEAD YOU ASTRAY, WAKE UP, SALVATION IS FREE AND EASY, JESUS DID THE HARD PART!!!! JESUS PAID IT ALL! ALL TO HIM I OWE, SIN HATH LEFT THE CRIMSON STAIN, HE WASHED IT WHITE AS SNOW!!

Works in the bible is equal to doing good deeds or repenting of your
sin. KEEP THAT IN MIND WHEN READING ROMANS 4:5 - "But to him that
worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith
is counted for righteousness."
And EPHESIANS 2:8 - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that
not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man
should boast."
And read John 1:12
- "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the
sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not
of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of
God"
That first proves it's not our will to change that makes us born of God
either!! And here's a verse to confirm it!
Romans 9:16
- “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but
of God that sheweth mercy.”
Jesus said broad is the way that leadeth unto destruction and this video is
testimony! IF ANY MAN HAVE AN EAR, LET HIM HEAR! ANYBODY TRUSTING IN
THEIR WORKS TO SAVE THEM OR MAINTAIN THEIR SALVATION WILL NOT BE SAVED!
JESUS SAID in Matthew 7:21
- "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in
heaven. Many
will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy
name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many
wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity"
Why did Jesus NEVER know them? because they were counting on their works
to save them! SEE?? I would be bragging about my works, I'd be saying
Jesus you said whosoever believes in you has everlasting life!! DONT
BE DECIEVED BY THIS WICKED VIDEO, WILLFUL SIN CAN BRING A CURSE ON YOU,
BUT IT IF YOU ARE SAVED - YOU'RE SAVED AND YOU CANNOT LOSE YOUR
SALVATION!!! -
Would you call your interpretation of the bible fallible or infallible?

Thanks for great video. I am Vietnamese and finding God. The video is great but I don't understand 100%. I'd like to ask for the subtitle file to understand and translate into Vietnamese for Vietnamese who would like to know about God. Please!

Good teaching. My only objection is assigning sacramental-like "steps" to becoming a Christian; that if it does not happen in said order one is not truly a Christian. Oddly, he cites Cornelius to support his posit, but forgets that Cornelius and his household received the Spirit BEFORE being water baptized. Peter noting this said they could not withhold water baptism from Gentiles seeing they received the gift of the Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. I believe God permitted this to keep us from developing these "steps". Also, the Ethiopian Eunuch believed and was baptized. But there is no record of him repenting or receiving the Holy Spirit. We safely infer that he repented and received the Holy Spirit.

isnt it that we are saved by faith alone, and repentce, getting baptist and receiving holy spirit is indication of one's faith?

The 4 thumbs down are atheists.

Great teacher. Learn a lot from your speech, and thanks your hard work. God uses you to cure many people's spirit. Amen.

This series of videos is the clearest and most concise and complete presentation of the Christian's normal new birth we have ever seen, done with a graciousness to all who might have other understandings. I recommend it to all, even those who have been Christians for a long time, as a wonderful example of how to share with others!
-
This is the clearest, most complete and most gracious presentation of how to become a Christian or help somebody else understand how to become a Christian I have ever heard. As I read a few comments it seems that some have jumped to (wrong) conclusions without listening carefully and completely and used this as an opportunity to express their own ideas. Mr. Pawson does a much better job of explaining and sutstantiating his presentation. Please listen all the way through!

Amen amen, this is a wonderful message and very true indeed. I do speak out of own experience. Last weekend I had the opportunity of attending a sermon of rev. Pawson and this man really spoke the same words which testifies of honousty and having thought thing through very thoroughly. Not many combine the explanation of the Word with the experiences granted by the Holy Spirit. Thank you for posting this message.

In my last post I said that the Hebrew word for Spirit was ruah and it should have been spelt "ruwach" which is Strong's number 7307. The meaning is, wind or breath.
In Act's 2:38 Peter tells the people who had HEARD his WORDS to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ ALONE. There is no mention of the Father or the Holy Spirit here which gives credence to the error of Matt.28:19's deliberate mistranslation.
There's no mention of the laying on of hands here either to receive the Holy Spirit.
The same in Act's 8:16 where it says they were only baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.
In John 22:22, Yahshua simply breathed on them to receive the Holy Ghost.
In Act's 2:4 the Holy Spirit came upon them in the form of cloven tongues.
In the 8 verses that clearly speak of those who received the Holy Ghost only 4 actually say hands were used in some form concerning those who received the Holy Spirit then and there, while the others say that as they spake or prayed then Holy Spirit fell upon them and they were all filled with the Spirit.
Act's 4:30 says that the apostles only prayed that by the stretching forth of their hands to heal and that by them many signs and wonders would be done and as they prayed they were ALL filled Holy Spirit so there was no laying on of hands here so we're down to three verses.
In Act's 9 it says that Ananias put his hands on him and gave him the message that the Lord had given him to relate to Saul and we have to remember that at this point Saul is blind.
In Act's 22 Paul tells his audience that Ananias was sent by Yahushua to TELL him to receive his sight and again there is no mention of the laying on of hands as a part of his receiving his sight. It never says when or how Paul received the Holy Spirit just that he did so, so we're down to two clear instances where the actual laying on of hands directly brought about the receiving of the Holy Spirit upon those present which ask the question then can we honestly build a doctrine on just two verses when so many others say differently? The laying on of hands here in these two instances may well be because they had already been baptized into Yahushua's name before His actual death, burial and resurrection as Mr. Pawson teaches.
In Act's 2:41, 8:12 and in 10:44-48 it especially states that they had HEARD the Word of Yahuwah first then while it was yet being spoken to them in verse 44 the Holy Spirit fell upon them BEFORE they were baptized and there was no laying on of hands here either.
In Act's 16, Lydia HEARD the words of Paul, then Yahshua opened her heart and she attended to the things which were spoken of where it would follow that she then repented and believed in Yahushua and was then baptized and her household with her.
In Act's 18:8, 19:5 we see the same pattern, they HEARD and then they were baptized.
In Rev.1:15 John said he HEARD a voice as the sound of many WATERS.
Ps.119:9 ask the question as to where withal shall a young man change his ways and the answer is by taking heed unto the Word of God.
Eph.5:26 we are to be sanctified by the WASHING of the WATER by the WORD
One of the meanings of the this word is that of literal words.
As I say in the other comment, one must clearly hear the Word of God, be convicted by it as we see in the above verses, repent of one's sins, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ in His death and shed blood for the remission of one's sins along with His glorious resurrection, then be baptized making a public declaration of the inward experience that has taken place within receiving the Spirit of Yahuwah into their lives.
In Act's 22:16 we are presented with the one of the most challenging of verses where it seems to say one needs to be baptized to have ones sins washed away but one must slow down and read this carefully.
If we follow Mr. Pawson's suggestion of the New Testament way to be saved which is indeed Biblical then this verse MUST be read backwards to fit the pattern. This is what is known as a kiasim.
Paul repented then called upon the name of Yahushua, had his sins washed in the blood of the Lamb and was baptized receiving the Holy Spirit, publically testifying to the world his conversion to Yahshua Messiah and his separation from his old Jewish religious life.
If we believe that only water baptism is necessary to have ones sins removed then why did Yahushua have to die and shed His most precious blood?
Again much food for thought.
May Yahshua bless you as you seek the truth of His Word.
