http://www.ted.com Pastor, philanthropist and author Rick Warren reflects on how the success of his book The Purpose-Driven Life triggered his own crisis of purpose. What should he do with this unanticipated wealth and attention? Warren uses his own story to explain the central tenet of his teaching: that the antidote to spiritual emptiness is recognizing what we have been given -- wealth, creativity, talent -- and using those gifts to make the world a better place.

He is a confidence man who got rich selling books to fucking stupid people who really believe that Zues is real, oops I mean Apollo is real, oops I mean Vishnu is real, oops I mean Buddha is real, oops he actually is, I will write a book about "religion" to get rich and it will all be BS because I don't/never have believed. I betting my life on me and that I, you, my kids.....are going to die and feed the worms, end of story.

If "God" is an answer to the Christian American capitalist nightmare then Marx was right saying: " Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, the soul of soulless conditions. It's the opium (painkiller) of the people."

You have no clue how ridiculous this sounds to any non-american. Giving 10%+ away... You live on some other planet.

Yep...When we live in service, to help other people, you come out of your experiences feeling such elation. You're on cloud nine, of the highest heaven.
