God is in charge he has given control to his creation

Not one bible verse quoted to back up his views on God's sovereignty ...... just a lot of opinion
-
Any definition of Biblical sovereignty which places God as the active cause of evil on the earth is false. Yes, we can agree that God allows evil, and He will manipulate such evil for His purposes. This does not mean He is the active agent of evil or "controlling" all events on the earth in an active sense. The idea that God is "in charge" is a definition of sovereignty that allows for God allowing evil. Bill's terminology of "in control" is a core definition of soveriegnty where God decrees deliberately and purposefully all actions on the earth. It is patently FALSE.

Romans 9:17 For Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose,
that I might display my power in you and that my name might be
proclaimed in all the earth.” -
Macarthur really took this video out of context.

I understand where Bill is coming from, but I don't entirely agree with him. God IS in control of the earth and all that takes place, good and evil. Satan kills and destroys only when allowed by Him. To my finite mind this sounds rediculous! It wasn't until I began studying scripture and the attributes of God though that I came to find that there's much more to the picture. Ultimately it all has to do with God's glory and the good of his children.
Before you're tempted to respond to me please pray first and then read the article in the following link. It's long, but well worth the read:

Ok, I can understand the tension here. Pastor Johnson is clearly concerned that God's name is honored by not implying that He's the author of sin. Amen. I would however point out that a better example than Hitler of evil would be the people that crucified Jesus. How can you get more evil than that? Was there any act in all of human history more evil than the murder of the sinless Son of God? Not even close. So I get it, and yet we know it was God's plan from all of eternity. So, I appreciate Pastor Johnson's heart, but this is not a box that God fits in.

thank you bill johnson, very good.

"Open Theism" is essentially non-assent to pagan determinism. End of story. There are numerous verses in Scripture where God has allowed Himself to be influenced by humanity, clear examples where He has changed His mind. This is a theology emphasizing what the Scripture clearly teaches, which is a God who values relationship more than control. Any half-aware student of theology understands that "sovereignty" can be defined very well within these perimeters. There are more extreme varieties of open theism that should be discarded, but as a general rule, sovereignty MUST allow for human influence and a willingness of God to honor such influence.

God is in control and in charge, he is God! Just read the Bible and get sound doctrine, don't listen to these heretical people! God is sovereign over everything, He has a plan for everything. needgod.com

As believers we should be better examples of God on social media. The previous post are embarrassing.
-
I get what He's saying. Choice and Will is the common denominator.
-
Bill Johnson: "If you think he is in control of everything, then you have to believe that Hitler was his will."
Me: No, you don't. Would you say the same in regards to the slavery that the nation of Israel endured? Does that happening mean God isn't in control? No. The word of God is quite clear concerning the sovereignty of God (see below).
Psalms 115:3- "But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased."
Psalms 22:28- "For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations."
Job 12:10- "In whose hand is the hand of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind."
Ezekiel 18:4- "Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die."
Genesis 1:1- "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
Apparently, Bill Johnson believes in a god that can make everything and yet fail to maintain control of it. But, God is in charge and in control. -
This man is a false teacher - it's as simple as that. His sheer lack of understanding of the Sovereignty of God testifies to his lack of relationship with Him. The sheep know their shepherd - and this man does NOT know the Great Shepherd.
If you follow Bill Johnson/Bethel's wayward teachings, please repent and believe the true Gospel. Flee unto Christ at once! -
@Jeremy... boo hoo.. you poor victim... lol.
-
This is "open theology" (Open Theism). This is how people like this explain away their false prophecies (basically, they say God does not know the future; He can only do His best to guess the future). It's a fundamental denial of the sovereignty of God.
-
a very on time word......listen to this at least 3 times.......it will change you
-
just because the sovereignty of God and his distinguishing Grace is hard to receive doesnt mean you should spit it out, do you beleive the Bible or do you fashion God in line with your own thoughts, assumtions and logic about who he is and what he is "allowed" to do, he owes us nothing "i will have mercy on whom i will have mercy.." thats the God of the Bible. we are ego maniacs we dont like it
-
i probably shouldnt say this but i think people have some problem eating their meat these days, "in understanding be men"
