Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV -
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

This is pretty similar to my sermon that I preached on Sunday.

Peace of Christ be with you,
I am commenting on the preaching and most of all on your way
of speaking to hearers.
I have listened to your sermon and seen some of the videos
you have up. I ask that you please read the Word and grasp the words I say.
Though the convictions and zeal of this group are firm, you lack doctrine and
fear of God. Great example of Modern American Christianity. If you know the
scripture apply them all not just one part to your life also. 1.The word says
that whatever we do, we do in the name of Jesus Christ. (Colossians 3:17) I
didn't even see you pray so that God can take the lead of your speech. Without
His guidance how do we know everything you speak is his word, or human words?
As I heard the sermon, I see you use the scripture to conform to your teaching,
you don't let the scripture conform your teaching. (Speaking generally, even
with what I have seen on other videos) But why do you omit the whole truth? if
you preach you should apply the whole truth first of all to yourselves as
believers and then to others? The Word warns us about sugarcoating (2 Timothy
4:3), but the Word also warns us about speaking of our own spirit. (Revelation
22:18-19) The Word of God is tough but, it gives life, if we speak of our own
spirit it brings death. John 6:60-69 So, what is preaching? How did the
apostles preach? like you all? Show me where. (Where do I find in the bible
that Christ, the Word made Flesh, and believers, Insulted as you do. Pick
fights as I saw in one video, condemning hearers.) Don't get me wrong the Word
is tough on sin, But are you speaking for life as Christ did? or out of your
own spirits and thoughts? If you go out, preach the full message. The letters
to Timothy are just two books out of the bible for advice of how, what to teach
and to who. Why do you all not tell the whole truth of the gospel? 2. Sin:
"we do sin, we do fall short" Therefore we are still sinners, 1 John
1:8-10 now don't misinterpret what I am saying, this is no excuse to live in
the flesh, the bible says to not use our freedom to deliberately sin. Hebrews
10:26. 3. Works: What do you mean by works? Doing what you all do, or being
obedient to the whole bible? Hate: approve hate? What does the bible teach?
Love: What is biblical love? Romans 12:9 1 Corinthians 13. What was Jesus'
example of these things? The apostles'? What did Jesus say we should do? This
Matthew 28:16-20. What does, "all things whatsoever I have commanded
you" mean? Did He say, just this part? or "ALL THINGS". Preach,
but preach with Truth and Doctrine. 1 Timothy 4:16. 4. Suffering for the
gospel: You mention Paul and the disciples suffering beatings and being
murdered for the gospel. True, yes they did. But, what did they preach? how did
they preach? what attitudes did they have? How do their actions reflect the
ones you have? Have you read about Acts 17...the unknown God revealed? How did
Paul present God? Like you do to people? We must follow the whole teachings,
not just what we want and how we want it. (Acts 4:42) Don't twist scripture to
form your teaching, but let the scripture form your teaching. Paul had a zeal
for God Romans 10:2 and preached about it? What was his person like? His
convictions? His teachings? His attitudes? How do Paul's actions match your
actions in the delivery of the word? Paul even dared to say this, 1 Corinthians
11:1. So if Christ is the goal/ why conform to your ways? When Jesus said
John14:6. Why conform to teachings of men? Should Christians not let themselves
be built by the Word and be built by men? or should the Word build believers in
every way to preach the whole truth? By using the whole message we allow no
room for human teachings and thoughts, because the Word is self-sustaining
Hebrews 4:12 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Read your bibles, let God teach you. If you
fear God, you will watch what you say and how you use the Word so that you are
a building stone, not a stumbling block. Lastly, tell me what the bible tells
us about how our speech should be? like you all... with insults and vulgar?
Does the bible approve condemnation and pride? Why do you only use the verse of
being Lukewarm, and not the other warnings to the churches? Do you accept them
yourselves, or just want to hear what fits your ideas? Please answer my
questions Biblically. -
With respect, the bible says that temptations must come and that all have sinned, but it does not say that we will continue to sin or that we'll all occasionally sin a little bit. It says that whoever is born of God does not commit sin because Christ abides in him and he cannot continue in sin because he has been born of God. It says that we may know that we have come to know Christ >if< we keep his commandments. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and that makes him qualified to have total victory in our lives ... don't get it twisted, if we are knowingly sinning (even some of the time) then we are no different than the lukewarm apostate church. Of course a newborn brother might need time to be sanctified by the holy spirit, but you are a leader right now for many of us, please lead with personal holiness, righteousness and total victory in Christ.

The fact that these believers had a Bible with them at the house of worship gives them a leg up on at least 75% of "Christians". Great word Brother Allen!
