Calvinism Sermon: God Saves. Not Man. (Part 4 in series)
El contenido de la fe, para escuchar,
What are the Five Points of Calvinism? Do the Doctrines of Grace have anything, ultimately, to do with a man named John Calvin? Or, are they truly biblical and find their foundation in the Scriptures themselves? In this message, Pastor Jeff Durbin (Apologia Church/Radio/TV) teaches for our series on the Doctrines of Grace. This message was an overview after the first two letters of the acrostic:TULIP. Does God choose a people for salvation? Does the Bible teach 'predestination'? On what basis does God choose? Is it based upon foreseen faith? Does God save perfectly and without fail? Or, is salvation dependent upon the "will" of man? We would encourage you to get out your bible, a notebook, and a pen. Watch this message and test your traditions by the Scriptures. The Scriptures are the sole infallible rule of faith, therefore, our beliefs must be consistent with the Word of God and we must be willing to abandon any belief that contradicts God's Word no matter how long we've held them or how cherished it has become. People who say predestination or faith alone, is not from the bible BUT where does it says God SAVES ONLY those but what it does say is God desire's to save all? Eze 18 Jn 3:16 and so forth ANOTHER thing going on about their understanding, then the sinner would not repent nor would seek forgiveness? Yet God warns the righteous NOT to fall into sin as then his righteousness would not be counted for anything. ALL are free none compelled.

God knows who will be saved and who won't be, but that does not mean he'll stop trying to save everyone. Everyone is the elect, as everyone is equally valuable. No one would be saved otherwise.

+No Neutrality Apologetics
I would be delighted to answer your questions but your post seems to be buried somewhere on this page, so I'm starting a new thread.
Ask away! -
I'm not going to quote tons and tons of verses but let's take this one for example "...God our Saviour;Who will have ALL MEN to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."
How do calvinists explain this one ?If God chooses some elects who are the only ones who will be saved ,then why does he want all of us to be saved ? -
What does Apologia studios think of Alcoholics Anonymous. This is a sincere and genuine question. I know it has nothing to do with the video and I apologise for that but maybe someone could answer to help a very isolated person who is being stirred.

Does this mean that God's counsel can never be rejected in Acts 2.23? Meaning God's determinate counsel and foreknowledge will always be what happens?
"Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:" -
Calvinism is works based salvation. They will say salvation if by faith alone, not of works. Then in the very next sentence say proof of salvation is in your works lol. It's self defeating and self contradictory.

Jeff .That bill I think in Texas. The bill to protect childrens life from conception. We need something similar here in California.

The Human cooperation isn't that love? How can you love if you are forced?
-
Non-calvinists would agree that "God saves. Not man."
-
The mass of humanity will be save??? Many are called few are chosen??? The road to life is narrow and few find it? Hope this helps

Calvinism is one of the worst damning heresies out there, will debate you anytime bub.

Why preach ‘salvation’ when the non-elect can’t repent and the elect can’t perish?

Apologia Studios: How do explain your logo? The Triquetra, which is an old Occult symbol, commonly used for witchcraft and Satanism? The Triquetra is said to be three intertwining sixes. It's a common symbol used by Free Masons, which for those who have researched the Free Masons, know they are a Luciferian cult. The dual faces, and black and white, theme... Also used in your logo, is also common Free Mason symbolism. Do you have a solid explanation or argument, for this?

Why is everyone in this comment section so mean spirited and hateful? To deny Calvinism is one thing, but to brutally bash a man who is presenting clear scripture is outright embarrassing. Are we not to love our brother in Christ?

Jeff Durbin fails to realize the impossibility of his philosophy. You CANNOT argue a consistent calvinistic worldview, without at one point betraying the ramifications of your own belief system. Because nobody lives like a consistent calvinist, Jeff Durbin included. This is evident when he seems to complain about people who supposedly prefer a "man centered gospel", while at the same time he believes that God is sovereign over EVERYTHING, including man's supposed preference of a "man centered gospel". So if people reject his theology, it's not because what they choose do believe, but what God predestined them to believe. Or is God NOT sovereign over their thoughts, actions and beliefs? Yes, He is sovereign? Then Jeff has no basis in complaining at all.
Game over Jeff. So, if Jeff complains, he should take it up with God who (from his perspective) made non-calvinists reject calvinism. But we won't go there. inconsistency is a sign of a failed argument.
PS: According to Jeff, this comment was sovereignly predestined by God (not by me) according to the good pleasure of His will. I love Calvinism. Super-Convenient ;)
