(Part 3) After months of searching and thinking along these lines I picked up a Bible in a hotel that I was staying at on Spring Break in Florida, I asked God to show me the truth and guide me if he was real. I began to learn about creation science and knew immediately that my whole life I was being lied to, everything was so obvious it was like a veil had been liften from my eyes.

(Part 2) "imagination made of plaster of paris". Since I knew this to be a fraud I was shocked that they were still using it as a valid example among others. I began to see the agenda that was being pushed and started to think that if we didnt evolve, where did we come from?

haha now i wasnt a TRUE atheist lol give me a break, you treat it like it's a religion. I soooo don't want to get into this "evolution is a lie" crap right now so I'll keep it short. I picked up a Bible when I started to realize that I was being lied to in anthropology class in University. They were using examples that had been proven to have been fakes. Lucy for example was a complete and utter fraud that Leakey (one of the best known anthropologists in the world) said was (To be continued)

What?... stuff exists, it seems complex, so therefore... god? That's a classic argument from ignorance fallacy, also known as god of the gaps. Unless you can elaborate how god did it then "god" is useless as an explanation, a panacea for all we don't know and a huge copout. An answer with no explanatory power is as useless as saying... magic. Also, if you prayed to god when you first picked up the bible then you must have already believed in god which contradicts your claim you were an atheist.

I am sorry that you feel that way. When I first picked up a Bible I thought it was impossible to understand. So I prayed for God to give me understanding and He did. The power of prayer often leaves me speechless. I don't believe in blind faith, I know that the Bible is the infallible word of God. It's historical accuracy matches no other book, it's reliabilty never fails. Just looking at God's creation alone is such astounding evidence of His existence.

Well if believing these things gives your life meaning and fulfillment, keep on truckin I suppose. But if you were truly skeptical you would understand that strength of belief alone is a powerful motivator to change even if what you believe is false. As for me, reading the bible only solidified my atheism so absurd and irrational are it's doctrines. And so it is with many former believers.

I am naturally a skeptical person. But once I saw the change in my life after reading the Bible and starting to follow the teachings of Jesus I knew that I had found God. What could really be bad about helping others? Of giving the shirt off your back to anyone who asks it of you? Of loving everyone, even your enemies? I was an atheist my whole life up until three years ago. I am aware of the movements.

We are not "saved" by primitive myths and fables or by vile hell threats. We are saved by the practical application of critical thinking which doesn't bode well for bronze age ignorance.

Are you not aware of atheist movements world wide? Open your eyes and look... the internet, best selling books, even TV shows like 'The Atheist Experience' are responsible for an overall decline in religion and explosive growth in skepticism and atheism. It might go ignored in US bible belts but in many countries atheism is the norm. The 'Clergy project', a organization of pastors and preachers who've come to their senses. Skeptical thinking is what allows us to discern fact from fiction.

I'm displeased. My nephew resides above me. I'm irritated because he in recent months became brilliant at obtaining the ladies. He discovered the Master Attraction site (Google it) by Jake Ayres. Now I hear him bringing girls back. He's continually getting chicks back and I can't help but hear it. It's disgusting and If only he never discovered that site. My best friend is getting laid now too coz of that site.

Because we want to share the good news of our faith with others so they too can be saved. Also we are told by God to spread the good word to the entire world. "And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation." Mark 16:15 And not everyone is born a Christian, I became a Christian when I was 26 because I saw the truth. Please tell me of these "scathing indictments" of my beliefs. Enlighten me.

In most advanced western countries Christianity is on the decline. I hope I'm around long enough to se it vanquished from the face of the earth. I will celebrate.
