man, I needed to hear this this morning. I lead our worship ministry at church but I'm not reaching out to the lost. I've been playing it safe for too long. Pray for me to be bold and get in the battle.

GREAT WORD!!!
-
Francis, you keep living for God and spreading the word. This country is so deeply in need of God and let's keep praying for the good Lords name to spread and change lives.

Anyone reading this can you please pray for my anger problem with my family

I like Francis Chan and listening to what he has to say but aren't we called to live quiet lives?
-
Dang!! Your child hood sounds pretty bad
-
Good point! Francis is so creative. He makes us see the reality of the spiritual in such a clear and simple way. Love it!

Thanks Sel :) Trying to live off the balance beam while avoiding the cars swirling in tornadoes!

this was a awesome sermon and the love of God is real and God is amazing and wonderful and he's right there by your side always
-
So what should we do?
-
I love me some Francis Chan. I think he wants to push us from pew holders to disciples. Praise be to God.

I don't feel like Francis Chan is saying your works earn your salvation or anything close to that. He's saying when you're called to do something by God and it gets hard, we just want to quit and do what's easy. He's saying even though it's hard and scary, we should stay strong and do it. Being a Christian means that sometimes we are called to do scary things, and while no, no one can earn salvation, we are still called to do things. Our work is evidence of our salvation, though.

Wow, big smile here! Great lesson!

I love this, but Francis, to homeschool your kids requires courage for many reasons. It isn't to keep them safe physically, but to try and follow the Spirit's leading. Home schoolers often have to get lawyers to defend their rights, and then they get mocked by others who profess Christ because it breaks traditions. Home schooling your kids is risky business. I did it because the Spirit led me to. Perhaps He didn't lead you to do it, but that is His choice. Let us not mock those who are trying to serve Him in these difficult times.

I guess it wouldn't be such an incredible testimony if it went like, "God saw me and left me just right where I was. The end." Thank you for sharing your faith in Jesus.

ahh yeah that's me

This clip is from the Evangelical Free Church of America Youth Conference called Challenge at Purdue University. Other Francis Chan clips can be found at Challenge Conference 2008. I originally posted this 7 years ago.

francis chan is not a believer of the gospel...he teaches that christians do not have victory and they need to fight the devil themselves...sounds like pentecostalism to me or catholiscism....when a preacher is preaching what "we need to do" instead of what "christ has done" that raises a red flag immediately to a real child of God...lost people love to hear religious crap...but they don''t like the term "Christ finished work" and won't use it...all i heard this idiot preaching it works works works works works ..believers need to do more etc etc etc.YOU WILL NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH....biblical FAITH lays down and rests in christ finished work....those are the real laborers and preachers of the gospel....a believer has ceased from his own work its not longer them working but christ in them...and thats not something that needs "motivation from religious preaching" that comes from a real understanding of the atonment and the finished work of christ....real christianity is "christ finished work"...fake christianity is "your finished work"

This is a great three minute challenge for us to get going with our faith.

Lord stir my heart after you to look straight towards you always. I may wobble a bit on this beam called life but I choose to walk little by little through it all with you Lord careful not to go left or right but always moving forward. So the day I make my dismount you will say to me. "Well done, good and faithful servant. + (Matthew 25:23)
