Francis Chan is an inspiration to live the supernatural Christian life which is radical compared to the more common "normal" walk we see around us. The Christian life is never about you - it is all about Him. So in any prayer request, check your motives - ask Holy Spirit to lead you. You will then pray in the Father's will and He will grant your request (in His timing).

Most of the comments miss the spiritual relvence of what Paul was expressing here. It's simply being content with whatever God has for him/ you. If you begin with the end in mind (the end of your present life on earth is the beginning of eternity with God) than whatever else happens is an OPPORTUNITY to serve God by doing what pleases him. And in that frame of mind you can move any mountain whether it be spiritual, emotional or physical if God's will is being accomplished through it. BlesSya'll

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Tonight (November 18), I attended a Thanksgiving service at a local Lutheran Church. Philippians 4:6-13 was the Scripture for the Evening.
