Friday Sermon delivered by Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Recorded on 16th December 2016. Hudhur said: These days the month of Rabiul-Awal is being celebrated which is significant because the Holy Prophet (saw) was born in this month. It is sad to see that while celebrating the person who was a mercy for mankind, the hearts of Muslims are divided. The Quran says that true Muslims are merciful and kind towards each other, but we see thousands of Muslims being killed by other Muslims. They only seem to be united on their opposition of Jama‘at Ahmadiyya which is directly against the commandment of the Holy Prophet(saw). He had foretold that when the conditions of Muslims will become worse and their scholars will be the worst of creations, Allah will send the Promised Messiah(as) to restore the true teachings of Islam. These people make false claims against Jama‘at that we do not consider the Holy Prophet (saw) to be Khatam-un-Nabiyeen (the seal of the prophets). This is an open lie and we can only say that may Allah curse the liars. However, it is true that we do not take our definition of be Khatam-un-Nabiyeen from these Maulvis. We translate be Khatam-un-Nabiyeen as it was done by The Holy Prophet(saw) which is, no prophet can come outside the circle of Holy Prophet(saw). We believe the Promised Messiah(as) to be under Holy Prophet(saw) servant ship and his leadership. Those who do not believe Holy Prophet(saw) to be be Khatam-un-Nabiyeen are liars and are not of Jama‘at Ahmadiyya. We believe that the Promised Messiah(as) and Imam Mahdi was a Prophet of Allah, but as a servant of the Holy Prophet(saw). Our definition is in line with many previous great scholars of Islam and the companions of the Holy Prophet (saw). Huzoor(aba) said that the government of Pakistan is proud that they have declared us non-Muslim, but Muslims should ponder whether this time demands that a reformer should be sent for Muslims. These Maulvis or the clerics will never accept the Promised Messiah(as) because that would affect their livelihood. Huzoor(aba) mentioned the recent incident in Dulmial in Chakwal, Pakistan where a mob attacked and burned a mosque of Jama‘at. Huzoor(aba) said that it is true that they caused damage, but we will never leave our faith and we can also sacrifice our lives for “La Ilaha Illah”. Huzoor(aba) said that they can do whatever they want. We know that the revival of Islam is now decreed with us. This is why Hazrat Musleh Maud(ra) started these conferences on the life of the Holy Prophet(saw) through which the true character of the Holy Prophet(saw) is explained to the entire world. Even many newspapers and non-Ahmadis of that time congratulated Jama‘at that it united Muslims on one page and gave a strong response to the enemies of Islam. Huzoor(aba) said, we do all of this because the Promised Messiah(as) had taught us that if you want to reach Allah, then attach yourself with the Holy Prophet(saw). The Promised Messiah(as) says that this is a false charge against us that we do not accept the Holy Prophet(saw) as be Khatam-un-Nabiyeen. The comprehension of this status given to us is so magnificent that these people do not even come near it. The Promised Messiah(as) said that all qualities and excellences came to their absolute perfection in the being of the Holy Prophet(sa). This is also why Allah revealed the book upon him which is Khatam-ul-kutb. No one can attain the pleasure of Allah and cannot receive blessings from Allah if he has not lost himself in the love of the Holy Prophet(saw). This is why Allah has said in the Holy Quran that, Say, ‘If you love Allah, follow me: then will Allah love you and forgive you your faults. And Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.’ Huzoor(aba) said, that our enemies can say whatever they want, Our hearts are filled with the love of the Holy Prophet (saw). May Allah enable us to increase in this love after every such attack and may we read even more Durood so that the world may find a path to guidance. Ameen.
