Wow awesome sermon as always John Piper leaves us with a deeper and fuller understanding of Gods amazing and transforming WORD!

Goes back to Job. Job needed friends who would comfort him and understand his suffering. People need to hear the true gospel. They need to know that those before them also suffered and faced desperation. Heck, Jesus was the only man without sin and look what he went through! Your suffering is not in vain, so find joy, because great will be your reward in heaven. God Bless everyone

I have just this day heard Rev. Piper and i am awed. This word has clarified the place I am in, going through and trying to help others through. I have been praying for an answer to a question; a question I did not know did existed. Praise Yeshua Ha Mashiak

its good that Jason gains experience and thrive in preaching. Dr John P. should not leave the pulpit he should preach in middle of the week on the same church leaving Jason Weekends

I was surprised and sad to hear he had resigned. It must be difficult for his home church. I've only ever read his books and listened/heard his messages and it was a bit of a shock to hear the news! But I understand and respect his decision. May this new season of his life be an enjoyable and fruitful one. He's certainly not one to go sit in a corner and "retire"!

At Shawn Ladow, please understand there are two different kinds of tribulation the bible vividly made clear. First the tribulation mentioned in Romans 5:3 Every believer would certainly face this tribulation as long as you belong to Christ. but then there is another tribulation mentioned in Matthew 24:21 This tribulation would take place IMMEDIATELY after the rapture of the saints and would ultimately usher in the battle of Armageddon but believers would not go through this tribulation.

I love Piper. I was talking about Poonen. You are right I shouldn't let the tribulation get in the way of good preaching, thanks!

Shawn, the tribulation debate is not an essential doctrine that we should divide over. I tend to agree with your views, but we can get so much from Piper's preaching that helps us in our daily walk that I don't think his eschatological views should turn us off form his Gospel preaching.

He preaches a Post tribulation message which was disappointing for me, because I listened to him for a while and thought he was a great preacher. I don't believe Jesus will leave his people to endure the things of a tribulation period. If we are truly saved "Born Again", then we have already accepted Him by faith and we will be with Him forever. If you can show me scripture that says we go through through the tribulation that would be great, thanks!

Listen also to a great saint and a man of God.....Zac Poonen

Thanks John!

so that a new, younger pastor can take over, whom he can help with the transition. Also, this way he could have more time to travel and meet more people all over the world and preach the Gospel to them. You can find hundreds of messages (in video, audio and written form) on his website DesiringGod

Please!!!!! Por favor que alguien traduzca al castellano. Por favor por favor !!!!!!!!!Gracias.
this sermon is a comfort for those who have forgotten the greatest commandment of God: to rejoice. Glory to God for His word and a reminder so great -- it is in itself a joy, indeed.
