when I was little I always use to say marriage was stupid and that relationships were pathetic. Love was super gay and for the ugly weak people.

Exactly what I have said and agree to..Rick says also, "today, the culture is doing what is best for you!" This is exactly what I've said in past emails and this is what Rick says this is a NARCISSISTIC view! BINGO!!

My assessment is correct. This what my wife has been sucked into to believe and dare tells me that she has heard from God to leave me because she doesn't want to be like a doormat. Is that so, I questioned her.

Marriage is the laboratory of how to love. Man I sure failed, rather we sure failed this experiment! But is this in experiment? Certainly not! It's life and death, you get it wrong, 2 suffers! So I don't agree with his analogy.

Love washes the dishes, Rick says. That's bloody easy man! Hey Rick, will you still wash her car after your wife despises you? Will you still do her tax returns after she has torn out your heart?
Will you still help her with her work after she says she wants to leave you? Will you eat half eaten fish she has thrown in the bin to spite you?

Rick, counselling DOES NOT work! In fact, it does just the opposite! It was so hard to get my wife to go for counselling. See you can bring an ass to the water but you can't make it drink from it. BOTH must want it deeply, just one won't do it..it'll just be a waste of time, effort and money! counselors are money drainers, there's one I remember even told us that "we are toxic for each other!" I quote her exact words. ..and this was a counselor that was supposed to be "Christian" based!

In your dating period Rick says, "you look your best, you smell you best" NO I deliberately DID NOT DO this! BECAUSE I have observed that if she did not accept me for who I am then better not to marry. Things changed in marriage, she kept trying to change me. So WAS I FOOLED!

So what happens when the other does not take their vows before God seriously ..then what?

Fake intimacy, happens in dating and early stages of marriage.

Go through the tunnel of conflict if you want deep intimacy...but if you hang in there. So what if the other just wants out?

Don't talk the other out of a feeling. Well, I was just slammed when my feeling was expressed. Then what?

Rick, you say "you are going to break the cycle" well the fact is it takes BOTH to agree NOT to walk out of this marriage. even when I feel like walking out myself, I standing my ground. The BIG question is what about the OTHER? So you say do what it takes..does this mean to CHAIN her up so that she doesn't leave?

When I married my husband, it increased my chances of violence against me and caused me to resort to violence to protect myself. I did not marry the man God intended for me.

My husband applied for a court order that I should leave our house by the 1 december 2016. I am in so much pain right now. I tried my very best to save our marriage but he said he had enough and wants to separate asap. I have been praying to God to give our marriage a chance but he doesn't want to do it anymore. It breaks my heart more when my child ask me to draw a family and she was saying "one daddy, one mommy, one baby hushy". :'( Just feeling hopeless at this moment. I am pleased to say that thanks to the Lord I am a changed person. I always thought that I was on top of things and that nothing could ever knock me down, but God was not pleased. I was laid off a job, lost my apartment, was in a recent car accident, and lost my relationship. I hit rock bottom and now I am able to see the Glory of God and all of the wrong and hurt I was causing my loved one. I have taken Jesus as my Savior once more and I have started going to church again. I have asked God to soften my partners heart and remove anything else in my heart that is blocking this miracle from happening. Because getting my relationship back will need a miracle from God after all the things I did. I have also been fasting and praying on a daily basis. I recently started a great paying job, my car is fixed, I am currently looking for a new place to live, and my partner and I have started talking again. We are taking things slowly. Glory be to God and take Jesus as your Savior he gives us strength when we most need it. Dont give up!! God will restore your relationship you just need to have faith!! I do accept prayers still for my relationship to be fully restored!
