Scripture: Luke 12:13-21, 32-34 The last of three sermons on Life in the Commonwealth of Christ focuses on how we manage our wealth faithfully and not fearfully. Debt must be defeated, generosity must be practiced, and wealth must be managed. We will either manage wealth or wealth will manage us. The key is not to let possessions possess us. We have to put our accumulated wealth to good use for God’s purposes in the world and not just for our own. Planning for legacy giving of our wealth that will benefit our families and God’s work is an act of faithfulness.
