You must know that this video edited out the most powerful line of the whole speech. at 19:25 he actually says: (cut section marked by brackets) "Don't let anybody make you think that God made America as his divine Messianic force to be a sort of policeman for the whole world. God has a way of standing before the nations with judgment and it seems that I can hear God saying to America, you're too arrogrant [and if you don't change your ways, I will rise up and break the backbone of your power and place it in the hands of a nation that doesn't even know my name. Be still and know that I'm God.] Now it isn't easy..." smh.

A great speech, with great truths, delivered by a great speaker.

I'm so sorry that it isn't much better now...but, I quit the army because of him and Leo Tolstoy, so there's that, for my mind.

I wish the Cowards in Government, both in the US and Britain, had heeded this

Dr. King, You will never die!
-
Proverb 9-7 said: " do not loose your time to advise an evil...He will hate you" And yet MLK was killed.
-
Who else gets chills from this?
-
"I have a mother-fucking dream"

these are dark times in our history, when high level authorities, will seek to use every method to silence dissent, but something is happening, and people are not going to be silenced, the truth must be told. To all of you who were ridiculed and insulted, and none the less voted for change.

In times of great pain and confusion in this country, we must remember that courage and integrity moves people to greater times.
The words of MLK must keep us grounded and purposeful at retaking our country back to the image in the liking of our founding fathers and visionary men like these. Keep your head up folks! -
Fact there were Russian's and Chinese in Vietnam. Oswald was suspected of having communist ties, and he was a suspect in the killing of John F. Kennedy. Something to think about.

This speech is great, but MLK was exception in the black community.
Students of the 60's know that with the exception of radicalized blacks, who had some knowledge of America's imperialistic role in the world, most blacks took a long time to realize how disastrous our Vietnam policy was, just as most blacks blindly followed Hillary Clinton in the 2016 primaries.
The backbone of the anti war movement came from educated members of the white middle class who did not just listen to the stupid, lying Television news; they read the New York Times.
The greatest champions of the anti-war movement were Gene Mc Carthy, Bobby Kennedy and George Mc Govern.
Also, it would be nice if you covered the hearings of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, in 1966, in which some brave Senators, such as Senator Fullbright, castigated our reckless and reasonless Vietnam policy
Also lets not forget Tom Hayden and Abbie Hoffman and Mark Rudd and Jerry Rubin and the other student activists who got their heads bashed in at Chicago, Columbia and at all of our better colleges. -
The more things change, the more they stay the same, and in fact, worsen.
-
would've been a great president
-
Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the greatest patriots this country has ever had.
-
I love MLK what he did to erase segregation and also his oration skills were amazing but his politics and beliefs on non violence were fantasyland America was made Free by violence and war...I believe Vietnam was a fight against the North's Communism but Johnson and Westmoreland didn't know how to fight ...Jesus is Lord
