Part 4: Liars in the Church - John S. Torell

Please pray for me, My name is Ovaldo Brown, I need money for college, I'm going to Kingsborough Community college this year or next year, after I pass my TASC math test, so pray for that also and I'm not financially ready or prepared for college and I want to go to Nyack College in upstate, NY, which is a private college, to live on campus and live in the dorms, and get my doctorate and PH.D, and go to undergraduate school, so that i can study theology and become a Dr. prophet preacher pastor professor scholar/writer/scientist/detective and inventor and have all the scholarships, grants and money, I need to be financially ready and prepared for both colleges and I would also like to go to an Ivy league school after I finish furthering my education and studying in both colleges. I also got accepted to Kingsborough community college but I just have to reapply and take the assessment test or the entry level exams which I pray that I pass so please pray for that also and I have to pay the enrollment fees and the application fees and apply for financial aid, grants and scholarships. I want to further my education and achieve the endeavor of getting my undergraduate and graduate degrees, like my associates degrees, my bachelor degrees, my masters degrees, and doctorate degrees and my PH.D's. I want to start my own church and ministry and I want a daughter, twin daughters to be precise and I want my own church and ministry, because I am called and I need a brand new (KJV) King James Version Bible, With the old testament and the new testament in it. Great sermon

Well, I've given him a few days, but it doesn't look like Torell will face up to his false accusations, lies and slander. Like the fork-tongued liar he is at heart, he spews out his venom from his pulpit, then crawls back into the hole he came from. Talk about spineless coward!

Torell has told us about his criminal behaviour in his youth, and I'll submit the reason he left his native country Sweden is baked into that pie. Maybe he was running into trouble with the law, so decided to escape to the United States where petty criminals have more elbow room. That would explain why everything he says about Sweden is a pack of vicious lies and gross slander. Don't believe him!

It is to be hoped that Torell has stopped stealing, but one thing for sure: he certainly didn't stop lying. In every sermon he dishes out new lies, some petty, some major, about any and all that he feels should be subject to his vile and venomous tongue. He has even invented a home-made theology for the purpose of making excuses for his lies and slander: he thinks God will look the other way because they serve the greater good.

Let me tell you this, Torell: The Bible (see e.g. Revelation 21.8) says that ALL LIARS will go to hell. It doesn't say that "all liars except John S. Torell" will go to hell. A pastor who is abusing his pulpit to spew venom, lies and slander is certainly in worse trouble than the ordinary scoundrel who tells white lies in his daily life. Indeed, you would have been better off, Torell, if you had kept on stealing but stopped lying, because the Bible doesn't say that "all thieves" will go to hell; it says that ALL LIARS will go to hell.

The reason Torell keeps lying and slandering is simple: he cannot stop. Why not? Because he is possessed by a demon of rebellion. As I have noted in my comments on his previous sermons, he has been in rebellion all his life, and he has never humbled himself before authority, tradition and orthodoxy but insists on backtalking them all, somehow thinking it makes himself look better. It does not. The lying must stop, Torell, but it won't stop until you confess your sin of rebellion and repent and humble yourself. It is the demon of rebelion that controls your lying and slandering, and your contemptuous and condescending attitude towards any and all who do not go along with your programme.

To his congregation: Torell's attack against me ─ a personal ad-hominem attack waged from the pulpit in gross violation of all ethical rules and indeed bordering on harassment ─ isn't really an attack against me. It is an attack against you. Torell acts like a petty dictator and he wants to show you that if you pipe up about any of his concoctions, he will not hesitate to attack you from the pulpit too. Thus he can bully his sect into submission and silence instead of having a robust and healthy discussion.

That's all I've got to say in this matter.

So, Torell, you have called me a "coward", "liar" and "conniver", using your pulpit for the purpose of levelling these false accusations. Well, prove it! Point out to me where I have told lies! I've already pointed out several of your lies, and I could write a book about the rest, in two volumes: Volume I: "Pastor Torell's Lies", and Volume II: "Pastor Torell's Vile Slander".

Don't you know that falsely accusing somebody of lying is worse than lying? That using one's pulpit to call somebody a coward is worse than cowardly? The only conniver here, Torell, is you.

In your sermons, you're talking about eagles and turkeys. You, Torell, aren't even operating on the turkey level. You're on the cockroach level. Every sermon you preach is replete with petty lies and vile slander. No Christian pastor should EVER use his pulpit for the purpose of lying and slandering. Yet that's what you do, and every time at that. I cannot recall even one clean sermon of yours.

The reason I'm watching you is that you have some interesting views on ontology and eschatology, subjects I'm working on. So I've benefited from that, and have promoted your views heavily amongst friends, including making excuses time and again for your vile slander, flawed theology and steady stream of petty lies. Aside from your standing up against Zionism, I frankly don't give much for your theology, and even less for your attitude. You represent the very worst of Christianity in that regard.

I'm European, but have lived for many years in the United States. Never in my life have I met so many dishonest people as in America. The truth, Torell, is that Americans in general are a pack of compulsive liars, and you have spent too many years in that snakepit. You've lost sight, you've lost your sense of orientation. I pity you as I pity everybody else in that hellhole. Like America itself, you draw nourishment from declaring enemies, attacking groups of people, whole nations and now even a single individual (myself) in order to keep your sect together. It will fail. If you go on like this, everything you have worked for will disintegrate, as it also has in the past. You need to learn from your mistakes.

Also, you have the gall to shove Revelation 21.8 in my face, as if I were the liar here. But tell me, Torell: How many people have you deceived with your lies and deterred with your vile slander? How many have you scared away with your bullying attacks? You, if anybody, should know there will be a reckoning. You know what? I'm sending Revelation 21.8 right back to you:

"But the COWARDLY, the unbelieving, the VILE, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practise magic arts, the idolaters and ALL LIARS – they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulphur."

Think about that, then go wash your mouth with soap. There is no way in hell you're getting my name and address. If I were stupid enough to give it to you, next thing you know you would attack me name and all from the pulpit. You have already violated the most basic principles of integrity, and you deserve no trust. Believe it or not, but I've prayed for you that you will come to your senses and make amends. I'm waiting for your reply, in which I expect a full explanation and apology for your totally unacceptable behaviour.

So I'm a "liar" and a "coward" now? Then what is my transgression? All I've done is I've pointed out some concerns about Pastor Torell's attitude towards Swedish Christians. But Pastor Torell apparently thinks that he can use his pulpit to bully and attack all he wants without ever hearing any rebuttals. To that I say: If Pastor Torell cannot stand criticism, he should refrain from criticising others.

Pastor Torell demands that I reveal my name and address. What for? Does it matter who I am? Not at all. What matters is what I say, not who I am. I haven't received any answer from Pastor Torell on any of my substantive points. Instead he now chooses to use his pulpit to wage an ad hominem attack against my person, which is the epitome of cowardice. Why does Pastor Torell refuse to respond to the points here, and instead demand that I contact him? The only answer is that he wants us to discuss these matters in secret rather than openly right here. Then who is the conniver?

Let me say this: If Pastor Torell is to admonish other people to stop lying, he should lead by example and stop lying himself. This sermon, too, is laden with little lies (not to mention the atrocious lies about me), and with slurs against Russians and Mexicans as being dishonest. Not to mention that he dishonours his own parents. Is that what a pastor should do? If Pastor Torell wants to discuss with me, he should feel free to do so right here, openly before everybody, instead of using his pulpet for the purpose of levelling cowardly attacks.

One more thing. Pastor Torell says I tear apart every sermon he puts out. That's not true. I think I've commented on three of his sermons, and if he cared to read my comments, he would find that I've said "I have the highest respect for Pastor Torell" and, in my last comment, I said he gave a fine sermon. What I want is for Pastor Torell to cut out the nonsense and stay on message. But, as this sermon and his lashing out against me shows, he cannot do that. Why? Because while attacking everybody left and right for being demon-possessed and suffering from all manner of spiritual ailments, he's also got his own demons. He needs to hear it from somebody he cannot bully into submission.
