Paul Washer preaches from 1 John about Assurance of salvation in Jesus Christ alone. A true Christian looks only to Christ with regard to salvation, not in anything with himself. The book of John is written so that people may read this book and believe. 1 John 5,13 - "This is written to you so that you may know that you have eternal life." The assurance comes from the Word of God, and The Holy Spirit will give assurance based on the Word of God. Recording from the conference "Back to the Word of God" at Holmavatn Mission Center in Rogaland, Norway on January 26, 2014.

Love Paul Washer's sermons. Amazing.
-
do you know what book commentaries he's referring to at the end of the sermon?
-
Is there a part 2???
-
I have a question why do some people want to believe they could loose their salvation? I know that is not what the word says. I am confused because the same people who believe that you can loose their salvation that grace helps you over come sin. as a believer the fact I cannot loose my salvation gives my strength and ability with the holy spirit and the wellness to fight against sin and the power to over come sin.

Paul is speaking truth. How wonderful it is to hear, in a world that speaks lies.
GOD bless you Paul -
For anyone who doubts if there are saved, please I know what you're
hearing is offensive but look, what if he (Paul Washer) was right? Look
let's see what the Bible says.
In Gospel according to John 3:3 ''Jesus answered and said unto him,
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot
see the kingdom of God''
In 1 john 5 verse 18 : ''We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth
not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one
toucheth him not''.
In 2 Corinthians 5:17 '' Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new
creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!''
Please do not be deceived like I was during my whole life, because I
asked Jesus to be my savior or because my parent were religious I was.
Indeed I was wacthing porn and masturbate, chasing girls number,
swearing like anyone would, when I would even pray before sleeping it
was only a 5 or 2 minutes prayer I thought I was saved because I
''believe in Christ and that He died for me'' but I did not have a true
relationship with Jesus Christ. When I was saved by God's grace (Praise
God for that) something happened in me. Truly guys, after being saved
you will verily not keep on sinning, I will definitly sin but you will
repent by the conviction of the Holy spirit. Please guys the sinners
prayer do not save anybody. Please repent and believe the Gospel. Paul
Washer is right there. I know that 2 months ago I would think He was a
satanic preacher who would make me doubt my salvation but I beg you to
truly examine your lifestyle. If Christ died for your sins why are you
keeping on sinning like that? There's something missing there right?
Please I know its offensing nut He is Right. Being a Christian is truly a
supernatural work of God leading you to holiness because He is Holy and
cannot have fellowship with a carnal human calling himself a Christian.
God bless you! -
Paul Washer (Tim Conway & I'll be honest pastors) teachings are deceptive and hard to discern by many. Their teachings have subtle trickery, you have to be able to spiritually understand when they are doing it.
Paul (Tim/I'll be honest pastors) control their audience indirectly and directly with shame and guilt. Most followers don't realize what is happening to them, they believe they heard a great sermon.
But, slowly the shame and guilt start to effect the followers mind (flesh) because they teach things like this; "Evidence of salvation is when you bear fruit and if you don't you are not saved." This whole video is about that, a person did this or doesn't do this and that's what makes a Christian or an unbeliever.
Their false doctrines can cause a person to start to question their salvation. The follower may start to think things like...........Do I have enough evidence of salvation???? I"m still sinning, I must not be saved!!!! Am I bearing enough fruit like I'll be Honest Pastors said I need to???? Am I delighting in God enough like Paul Washer said I have to???? etc... -
Just wondering after listening to this....just how many good works and deeds do you have to do to stay saved? How hard do I have to work to get to Heaven?
-
You are not assured of your salvaion until you die. There is no being saved once and for all. You can lose your salvation it's called mortal sin. It is about keeping your state of grace which only God knows if you are in. That is why Christ established his only Church, The Catholic Church, to minister the sacraments to get and keep us in a state of grace.

Does anybody know how to send an email to him. Or how to ask him a question
-
I wished if our Baptist pastor in England was preaching in the same way .
-
20 minutes in was the best thing ive heard and so wonderfully put. mister paul washer i thank god for all you do for the lord thank you for loving others by spreading his word
-
it's amazing how some people in the comments call him a false teacher, but can't say how. and normally when they do, they're completely wrong.
-
This man is a modern day Charles Spurgeon. God uses him in staggering and spiritual ways. God bless this man, his dedication to the truth, and his edification of the brothers.
People have issues with him preaching hard truth. But truth myust first divide before it unites. Keep at it, brother Paul. I thank God for you. -
I love listening to your preaching, every word you say is based on the bible, this is indeed sane doctrine. ( I hope what I'm typing make sense ☺), this is not the type of prosperity false teaching thing. I wish there was a church with a pastor like you in El Salvador. I quit going to church because all they talk about is money and and being prospered. I decided to study the bible on my own, I love God, I believe in Jesus as my savior. God Bless you all!

God bless you Paul Washer.

Wow. I can understand why the "I'll Be Honest" channel disables comments for its videos. All this back and forth "I am of Paul, I am of Cephas, I am of Apollo" business.... so sad. :( Where is the love and the compassion? Where is the backing off when you realize you're not going to convince someone? Where is the thoughtfully chosen word that says just enough and no more, and now let the Holy Spirit do His work?
-
It's your unbelief that condemns you, read what Jesus says and you will find this true.
-
I love how God works through Paul Washer. Certainly, a true, God-fearing man inspired by the Holy Spirit. Every time I listen to him I feel rebuked, and that's a blessing to me.

Thank you for sharing! Enjoyed the entire video. It enriched my hope in Jesus Christ and strengthened my faith.
