Practical Helps for Bible Reading

Hi, and thanks for this video. I think Ben has some good ideas with this video. I have actually found that I need consistency in my Bible reading (and praying). Having the time, place, and plan really helps me out. Throughout the work week, I tend to have the same place and time and so I can follow my plan as expected. But on weekends that changes. I then mess up and don't read/study as much as I do Monday-Friday. Maybe I will be able to get some ideas on how to be consistent on the weekends, and feed on God's word on those days as well (not just when saints come together).

We are having strange weather here in ohio for December. its been 60 or 79, that is May like weather.

There is an outdoor garden area that would probably make a good place to have as lizziesanswers would call it "God time". I just realized it right now. You were very helpful.

I'm so glad someone has brought up the problem of reading the bible in one year.  I just went through the same thing-hurrying through so I could tell myself I was on track,  wanting to go back and reread a portion, but deciding not too,lest I lose precious time and fall behind.  The goal is noble, but...

I think finding someone to help hold you accountable and encourage you to seek God is key. Find a time, place, and make a schedule. This is something that has been hard for me.

As a young christian i really struggle with reading the bible and pray. Am i doing something wrong? is this the right way? does this actually work the way i do it?

so this is a small guidline for what other christians do and maybe i can find something that works for me :)
