Right Thinking About Death And Resurrection - Dr Charles Stanley

Hey, could you please pray for me? I am 15, I live in Australia, and am suffering from serious temptation... I watched your video uploaded in 2013 after I stepped into the temptation. A now know what to do when temptation comes, but i need you to pray for me... I also need prayer for my uncle, as he is in jail, and he's been trying to read his bible that they've provided him, but he needs prayer. Thankyou

It seems so strange to me that it's taught so strongly as one way or the other. Either they choose one verse and say you have to instantly be with Jesus, or they choose the other verse and say you have to rest until Rapture. Why cant we take the entire context of scripture and come to the correct middle ground?
Jesus as well as the Saint who were in Abraham's Bosom and the man that died next to Jesus on the cross. All these people were resurrected into their physical bodies, they were seen by many other living people, and then they all ascended into a physical heaven, where the physical temple of God is that Moses was instructed to make an exact earthly copy of.
When we die, we do not yet go to this place. We do not see Jesus until Resurrection when it says we will become just like Him for we will see Him as He is. This is further supported by the fact that right after Rapture when we go back with Jesus for the feast, one of the Saints who are already there is like, who are these people?
And so we do not meet Jesus and the already resurrected Saints until we are also resurrected. We do however enter directly into the presence of the Lord. Before Jesus died on the cross, those who God saved entered into Abraham's Bosom where they were covered by the promise s made to their father Abraham. Then from hell, the rich man could see Lazarus in the Bosom and be aware of all the constant regret. However in Abraham's Bosom, they seemed to be peacefully unaware of any of life's former burdens.
And so what has changed? Jesus was paid the price, defeated death, and resurrected those in the Bosom. Then Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit who will never leave us or forsake us. So now when we die we are instantly in the embrace of God the Spirit. Perhaps also the presence of God the Father. But until Rapture you are not yet in the presence of God the Son.
As far as whether or not it is like a dream or a fully awake experience, choose whichever feels best to you because it's not gonna matter much. "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." Things are gonna go be realllly fast for us between death and meeting Jesus at our resurrection.
One last thing to be real with our selves about; When people die, are they really watching over us and aware of our current struggles? There is zero biblical support for such an idea and honestly, how could they experience constant peace is they were constantly seeing you suffer? I can not declare one way or the other based on the scriptures. In my opinion though, we are aware of nothing but the overwhelming presence of God from the moment we die to the moment Jesus resurrects us. And as I said that goes by very very fast.
