Great sermon! I enjoyed this :) To the bible version debaters.. Jesus prayed that believers would be as one. Be careful what you allow to divide you from other believers :)

Pastor Matt Thank you because of this message. I had the privilege to talk to God about my anxiety of joblessness, the rent and trust of Him. It was good to roll it on him and REPENT. Glory be to The Lord God Almighty.

I have no doubt that Mr Chandler is a good teacher and very inspiring but why is it we cannot break away from this idea that God gave one person the full ministry and left the rest as spectators. This is so not what the bible teaches. Listen to Matt's words at the very beginning of this video "The pastor that God placed over your life to shepherd and care for your soul"? Go to the video and listen to it before reading on. Matt is saying that God has placed a Pastor over your life and you should go with that, perhaps when you were a child in Christ but not now. God may have placed a shepherd to suckle me when I was a child but that was when I was a child. To assume that we all need pastors in perpetuity is the same as saying that a child must always need milk (sound familiar). When I was a child I acted like a child now I am a man I put childish ways behind me. To say a mature Christian requires a pastor is a Catholic mentality and heresy. Sure people when they are children need care but the idea is that they grow up and become adults. It is Satan that wants to keep adults behaving like some dependant needy child attached in some unholy way to a pastor. When will people break free from this One Pastor Sheep model. It is un-biblical (in the new covenant sense), for Christ is our Shepherd. The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth. There is no other mediator between man and God but Christ Jesus, our pastor. We have direct access to the Father each one of us, and are accountable to one another not the many to one. Grow up! The whole book of Hebrews is about growing up and the dangers of regressing. Leave behind the fundamentals and move on, grow up, just grow up!. Leave your father and cleave to Christ. We are a Royal priesthood. I do not need a priest other than the Lord Jesus, thank you. I certainly do not need a Pastor over me (shall I climb back into my mothers womb) and nowhere in scripture does it say that God wills this, that is the old covenant where there were certain parties set aside for priesthood, Christ did away with this it is us who are now the Priests now. All of us not one! Look at it this way, in Ephesians 4 God said So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. He did not say He would give one person the Job of evangelist, prophet, teacher, apostle and call that person the Pastor. Read the scripture again...Some he gave this, some he gave that. Some means some, more than one. More than one pastor, more than one apostle, more than one teacher, more than one evangelist and more than one prophet. These ministries are gifts from Christ to His Church, us. Many to many not one to many.

As a Christian we can never be without sin. Of course the Spirit in us will cause us to want righteousness but our Righteousness is not our own, IT IS OF JESUS CHRIST. We have to divide scripture and know which verses are for who and what... 2 Timothy 2:15King James Version (KJV)
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
The other side to this is the Pauline Epistles that are clear on what Jesus meant by His GOOD NEWS. Galatians 2:16 ....Galatians 2:16King James Version (KJV)
16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. And we also must look at Romans 3 as well when Paul makes it very clear, Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. -
enjoy the sermon or keep it moving. all your little bickering is irrelevant

You people who are bashing the KJV people posting here, you've missed the point. It's not the language. It's the missing things. The word blood has been removed. The name of Jesus has been removed. The Trinity has been removed. God's masculine identity has been removed. Verses about homosexuality have been removed. So many more things. So it's not the "thee's and thou's" that have been changed in the new versions, it's GOD that is being removed. If you're ok with that, then you better examine your own souls.

God is truly and totally in control of every situation of life that happens. Matt Chandler has testified of the glorifies of God so magnificently. Being bound in the flesh keeps us doubting God's control at times, but as Matt said, keep trusting God. Our Lord Jesus said it loud and clear in Mark 11:22.: "Have Faith in God."

What about Christians who tell me that Jesus did not die for future sins... that point back to the verse that says once we continue to sin, sacrifice is no more.

Adam could break his neck !!!!! as he was Human and had human flesh !!!!!!

@flyingaxblade I hope you are joking...

I love the sermon & admire the fight to rest in the Lord at all time.
BUT the sharing of pastor Bo is dangerous. We don't ask DM1 diabetics to stop taking insulin, nor should we encourage someone with mental illness (clinical depression, bipolar, schizophrenia etc) to stop taking medications, EVER.
Our bodies are wasting away but inwardly renewed day by day.
Not feeding or caring for this wasting body is bad stewardship, and brain is part of the body. Isn't too low serotonin or too high dopamine just a "wasting away" of the brain, as much as cancer? -
if u don't preach using the kjv Only, that's a red flag to me

anyone afraid of Matt Chandler sermons should look at themselves.

I understand how that circumstances can cause fear and anxiety, but there is a HUGE difference between being anxious and have an Anxiety Disorder. A disorder is something that is out of your control and is the result of a chemical imbalance in the brain. People without the disorder don't understand, but that's okay. I never would want them to because it's miserable.
