On many of the Great Feasts, at the Divine Liturgy (especially when they fall on weekdays), I try to read a sermon from a church father or from a more recent church writer. This year, I opted to share some words from Fr. Alexander Schmemann. This particular reading is taken from Celebration of Faith, volume 2, by SVS Press. I can't recommend this little volume enough. It includes sermons and talks relating to much of the Orthodox Church year. Most of the talks were from broadcasts Fr. Alexander made as part of his work on Voice of America, beaming in Orthodox talks to Soviet Russia. That framework for his talks has the effect of keeping things real!
Thank you for the very good sermon dedicated to Theophany. Christ bless you and your work.
Do I understand correctly that this is the sermon of Fr Alexander Schmemann or it is yours?
Best regards
