Sunday of the Transfiguration "Transfiguration: What it's Not About" Mark 9:2-9 15. February, 2015 Reconciliation Ministries. Anthony Mark LaMort, Pastor. While we are recognized by the State of New Jersey and the United States Federal Government as a religious institution, we are not part of any denomination. We consider ourselves to members of the larger Family of God. We are a Christ-centered, Biblically based church that recognizes and respects the diversity of individuals and groups while striving towards the unity of all people in Christ, for in Christ there is no slave or free, Jew or Gentile, male or female. (Galatians 3:28) At Reconciliation Church, everyone is welcome, regardless of age, race, gender, orientation, religious affiliation or lack thereof. The saving Gospel of Peace is for all people: He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:2) We strive to be 'bringers of the Light of Christ' -- 'Ambassadors for Christ'; believing that all this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.
