Sermon Series: Stewardship: The Good Use of God's Gifts Sermon Title: Stewardship and Giving Sermon Date: 01-26-14 Scripture: Hebrews 8:1-3,6-13 ; 2 Corinthians 9:5-15 There are many formulas out in the religious world on how to give money to the church. We have seen the crumble of the trust in charitable organizations with honor and integrity. When we look to God's word, we see in the Old Testament that it called for extraction more than willing giving. But we see that in scripture, Jesus came to make a new covenant between us and God, and this included money. We see the new call and new foundation laid for how we give, because as scripture points, God loves a cheerful giver.
