The Good News of the Gospel. The Gospel is a message of hope for all people. Luke 2:31. We are sinners (Romans 3:23) and deserve to be punished in hell for our sins. Romans 6:23. But because God loves us; He has provided us a way to be saved from hell and a free ticket into heaven. (Romans 5:8) God sent His Son, Jesus Christ into the world to die on the cross for your sins. He was buried and then three days later He rose again. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4. He did this to pay for our sins and to save us. Eternal life in heaven is a free gift. John 4:10. To be saved and receive the gift of eternal life one must simply believe in Jesus. (John 3:16.) We are saved by grace through faith alone in Christ alone. Ephesians 2:8-9. Look at the following verses. Acts 16:31. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. John 3:36. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life but the wrath of God abideth on Him. Jesus said in John 6:47. Verily, verily, I say unto you He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. God wants us knowing we are saved and this is found in: 1 John 5:13. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Once saved, always saved. John 3:37-40.
