These existential questions are central to the five major world religions -- and that's not all that connects these faiths. John Bellaimey explains the intertwined histories and cultures of Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. Lesson by John Bellaimey, animation by TED-Ed.

Religion is the con of man. What it gas given humanity is a fraction of what it has taken.

Hinduism sounds pretty cool, but I'm fine as an Atheist right now

No, islam came before 1400 years ago when the earth was made. Muhammad (S.a.w) was a messenger of Allah. He was not the first messenger of Allah, Allah has sent 124,000 messenger in the earth Muhammad (s.a.w) was the last messenger. I could give you thousands of reference of it not in Islam but in christianity hindusiam too.
Please correct in in your video.
Thanks in advance! -
I feel bad for the natives of Canaan that the Jews slaughtered, for the people shunned or killed by Christian fundamentalists, and for all the little Muslim girls who were (are) forced to marry old men and have their marriages consummated at 9.
If you think this comment is incendiary, then I guess you just can't deal with the objective truth. Goes without saying, "not all religious people." -
everyone commenting how theres no fighting in the comment section, thats because all the comments are people saying "wow no ones fighting".

When someone steal your seat and you have to steal someone else's seat. -
I was raised as a non-denominational protestant. Every Sunday, I was told there was no other God and Christianity was the one truth.
Strange, knowing that most religions have similar, if not identical, values and stories to Christianity. It puts things into perspective.
I'm an atheist now. But I do believe that religion has its place in the lives of people. It's not just a way of life, they're philosophies that can shape people and make them better people. I give Christianity credit for shaping who I am today. I consider myself to be a good person (far from perfect) and I thank the book for that. -
Thank God no one in the comment section said "muslims are terrorists".😍😉...I wish i could meet some christians and jews one day and talk to them about our religions.

Buddha was born in Nepal

Addressing Buddha as Indian is serious offense to Nepal. It might not seem as a big deal but Nepali are proud people and absolutely hate when media advertises Buddha as Indian or changes his nationality. Please put a reminder or something in this vedio because ' BUDDHA WAS BORN IN NEPAL 🇳🇵'
