Jesus rides forth as a mighty conqueror.” # Rumor #3—He’s coming ! ‚ But who are the “kings” of the east?# Revelation 1:5, 6—“To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father . . .” # Revelation 17:14—“For He is the Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with him [in the final showdown] are called, chosen, and faithful.” # Revelation 20:4—“And I saw thrones , and they [those whom Jesus takes to heaven] sat on them.” # When John describes the “kings” of the east, he draws a circle so wide that it draws in every man, woman and child who follows Jesus! # John uses the plural to teach that because of their allegiance to the King of the East, his victory is declared to be their victory, too. ‘ In Bible prophecy “east” is a four letter word that is spelled H-O-P-E .
