The Lord's Prayer: An interpretation by Emmet Fox

I thought it something about sharing a God, making honor for "your" name as today is your day on Earth is the same as heaven(last day). Now give us your goods as you will forgive your invaders as others have forgiven you. Do not tempted us more and we shall refrain from doing more evils?

A more accurate and contemporary translation:

Our Father who is in the heavens
Sanctified be your name
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in the heavens
Give us today our supersubstantial bread
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors
And don't let us fall into temptation, but free us from all evil.

The traditional version contains many errors. Firstly, the Divine Father is in the heavens, the superior worlds. The word ‘hallow’ is no longer used or even understood in English - sanctify is the right word. The word ‘daily’ was used because the translators could not find a more accurate word in English. The Father does not ‘lead someone into temptation’, only Satan does that, so it should not say ‘Don't lead me into temptation.’ I am a professional translator of spiritual material.

Emmet Fox was a New Thought minister, not a Christian one. His interpretation of the Lord's Prayer, therefore, is not one that conforms with the Bible. Fox taught that man has a divine nature, Jesus was just a man, man can think and manifest things into existence, and that there is no sin and no need for salvation from sin.

I have read conservatively, Five Thousand Books and the book by Emmet Fox The Sermon on the mount is in the top 10 of all of them. It is a truly remarkable book.
