In part one of a series out of 1 Corinthians 4:6-7 titled, “Why Pride Causes Me Problems," pastor JD explains why pride is responsible for more problems in the life of a church collectively and a believer individually than any of us may even realize.

I can boast about you, Pastor JD. You help the Word come alive for me in a way I can understand, and follow you, verse by verse. I've repented of my pride this morning, and ask Him to forgive me of presumptuous sins as in pride and to ask that it will not have dominion over me.

Lucifer is not the Morning Star, he's the Son of the Morning. The NIV translation of Isaiah 14:12 is horribly wrong. If the name 'Lucifer' supposedly translates to Morning Star (as Catholics try to say) then Revelation 2:28, which says that Jesus will give the Church of Thyatira the Morning Star makes no sense. Why would Jesus give Lucifer to someone as a gift? And in Revelation 22:16, Jesus calls HIMSELF the Morning Star. In 2nd Peter 1:19 Jesus is called the Day Star. This switch from calling Lucifer the Son of the Morning to calling him the Morning Star is exactly why the Catholics think they can give praises to Lucifer by name in their Easter Exsultet and still direct it to Jesus. They will tell you that the names are inter-changeable, but they're not. Hopefully without drawing too much cognitive dissonance, I have to point out the sseriousness of staying away from Catholic Bibles (The translation work for the NIV, for exanple, was done at the University of Salamanca in Italy, a very Catholic University). This is why I recommend a King James Bible. Hopefully, this didn't come across as high and mighty or too abrasive. God bless everyone.

I truly appreciate your teachings. I've learned a lot from you and I pray God will continue to bless your church family. I hope someday I can come and visit your church in person. I feel blessed that God led me to your videos. God Bless!

Brother J.D., I love your prophecy updates and never miss one. I just wish as many people would listen to your Bible expositions as listen to the prophecy updates. I agree that we'll be going home soon, but in the meantime, we need to live in the here and now. These Bible messages help us learn to do that! Love you all.

Since Lucifer was the leader of music . . . does it not also make sense that he would use music to addict and manipulate the human body to respond to his influences of lust. I love the old standard hymns for the music as a vehicle to enhance the Words of Praise and Glory unto the Lord. The message is clear . . . and if the singer is not an egotist, whose only reason to be in front of people is for self glorification . . . then, God is the Person of adoration.
Now examine most, not all, of the contemporary church music, (church being a term to justify and glorify crap) . . . most of the music is absolutely no different than what the demonic personalities produce in the music industry today. Oh, it may have a few “religious words” to poise as “church music” -- but satan is using his music to take away focus from Almighty God. Have you listened to these “chants”? They repeat phrases over and over again and say, WHAT?
There isn't much, even in the churches today, that doesn't resemble the world. Of course it is by design, because anything watered-down is going to be less effective in reaching a soul and preparing it for the most important part of a service -- God's Word. Even the watered-down translations, that have perverted and even deleted the very Word of God, is there by design. What ungrateful and spoiled, self-centered, and so easily beguiled people have we become? No wonder the church is described as salt having lost its effectiveness in holding back evil. The church (salt) is no better than to be tossed onto the road and be trampled under foot.
There are going to be many people standing before the Lord -- especially those, who have been given much authority -- who will be accountable for leading their people in a very liberal and worthless church service. It's time to take an inventory and get rid of those things that are worldly and slowing down not only self, but also everyone else, cause judgment time is coming . . . and your modern, worldly approach is certainly pleasing the devil, but otherwise . . . it just isn't cutting it. -
This is an awesome teaching. Thank you, Pastor J D. God bless you!
